Blore Edwards Precision - Potentiometers and the future of UK Engineering

Investing in the future of UK Engineering

This month, the Blore Edwards Precision engineering team successfully produced the second batch of Colvern CLR 6500 Series Potentiometers, since production moved to our UKC Group facility in Latchingdon earlier this year.

As part of our commitment to support future talent, we were joined by three engineering work experience students from nearby Chelmsford. They shadowed and supported our engineers, gaining valuable hands-on insight into electronic components and the precision manufacturing process. They also learned about the criticality and value of providing solutions for obsolescence.

UKC Group subsidiaries are investing in the UK manufacturing sector, creating new jobs in Electronics and Precision Engineering, including apprenticeships offered in both disciplines.

We hope to welcome back our students in the future, and to be be able to offer the opportunity to join UKC Group in permanent roles.
